Home Remedies For Sore Throat
- Suck on Garlic:

We suggest you go for non-dairy foods as dairy foods may cause mucus in some individuals, leading to more irritation.
If they, however, do not irritate your throat, then you can go for ice-cream with low fat, but without nuts, chips or chunks that could scratch and irritate your sore throat.
- Peppermint essential oil:
Not peppermint candy, peppermint plant. Peppermint’s active ingredient is menthol. Menthol is believed to have decongestant properties that help thin mucus.

Below are a few ideas to try out with coconut oil :
• You can add a spoonful of coconut oil to your soup
• You can a spoonful to your hot Cocoa or hot tea

When taking the coconut oil, limit your intake to two tablespoons per day as it can have laxative effects if more is taken.
