Lavender grows nicely in dry, sandy and well-drained soil with full sun. It doesn’t need so much fertilizer to grow and a good air circulation is important.
You could easily grow the herb in a small pot but you will have to protect it from strong winds. In winter, protect it by putting the pot in your garage or any warm indoor location.
