How To Get Rid Of Dryness Around Eyes

Frankincense And Myrrh Moisturizer

This potent mixture of carrier oil and essential oils will be a remarkable addition to your skincare routine. The avocado and coconut oils will nourish and hydrate the skin, eliminating all the symptoms of dryness. They are excellent emollients for the skin. Frankincense, myrrh, and sandalwood tighten the skin under the eyes and help to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

What you need:

¼ cup avocado oil
¼ cup coconut oil
1 tablespoon beeswax
10 drops frankincense essential oil
10 drops myrrh essential oil
5 drops sandalwood essential oil

What You Have To Do:

• Melt the coconut oil and add all the other ingredients to it. Mix well.
• Apply the mixture around the eyes and massage it in for a minute. You can also apply it on the entire face.
• Leave it on overnight or at least for a few hours.
• If you are applying it for a few hours, use a wet facial tissue to wipe it off. Rinse your face as usual in the morning.
• Use an airtight container to store the remaining blend.
• Do this every night before going to bed.

Lavender-Rich Moisturizer

Coconut oil is a humectant and emollient, making it perfect to treat dry skin. Lavender oil helps the skin muscles de-stress, and this rejuvenates the skin’s appearance and texture. Vitamin E oil protects the skin from oxidative stress and photodamage.

What you need:

½ cup coconut oil
12-14 drops lavender oil
2 vitamin E capsules

What You Have To Do:

• Mix the coconut and lavender oils.
• Gently pierce the vitamin E capsules and add the oil present inside to the coconut oil-lavender oil blend. Mix well.
• Apply this on the affected area and leave it on overnight.
• Store the oil in an airtight container. This oil blend can be used on the entire face.
• Use this every night before going to bed.

Avocado

Various carotenoids are present in avocado that repair the skin and remove the free radicals that are damaging the sensitive skin around the eyes. The vitamin C and vitamin E present in it also act as antioxidants. Vitamin E is also an excellent skin nourishing agent

What you need:

¼ avocado

What You Have To Do:

• Peel the avocado and grate it.
• Apply this under your eyes and keep it on for 15 minutes.
• Clean with a wet tissue and rinse your face with water.

Green Tea

Green tea contains tannins and antioxidants that prevent the formation of wrinkles, reduce dark circles, and boost the generation of new cells around the eyes. Green tea is a wonderful repairing agent as well

2 green tea bags
A cup of cold water

• Dip the green tea bags in cold water and let them rest on your eyes for 12-15 minutes.
• Repeat this twice a day.

Rose Water

Rose water hydrates your skin and helps prevent puffy eyes. It acts as a nice coolant too. It is a fantastic toner and helps reduce the pore size.

Rose water
2 cotton pads

• Soak the cotton pads in rose water and place them over your eyes for 15 minutes. Use cool rose water for best results.
• Do this once or twice a day.

Yogurt

Yogurt supplies the skin with natural oils that keep it moisturized and glowing. It also removes any pigmentation or scars that may be present.

What you need:

1-2 teaspoons plain yogurt

• Simply apply plain yogurt around the eyes. Be careful not to get any of it in your eyes.

Grapeseed Oil

A few drops of grapeseed oil

• Rub the oil in between your fingers to lightly warm it up and apply it around the eyes.
